In all our operations, we earn a reasonable profit to generate adequate surplus for taking up new projects to serve our customers.

Company Profile
Assam Power Distribution Company Limited (APDCL) is a public limited company wholly owned by the Government of Assam. It was incorporated on the 23rd day of October 2009 and has been registered under Indian Companies Act 1956.The main purpose of forming the Company was to take over, manage and operate the electricity distribution system, assets, liabilities, undertaking of the erstwhile Assam State Electricity Board (ASEB) pursuant to a notified transfer scheme in terms of Part XIII of the Electricity Act, 2003.

To be the catalyst for Holistic Growth of the district of Morigaon by powering Agriculture and Industry; lighting homes - rural and urban & generating internal resources for continually improving Technology & Delivery System to induce Customer Delight. APDCL, Morigaon aims to deliver uninterrupted, safe, and efficient electrical services to its consumers. It emphasizes maintaining infrastructure through preventive and predictive maintenance, adopting modern technologies (e.g., prepaid smart metering systems), and ensuring operational cost efficiency for sustainable development.

- It consists of 2 Electrical Divisions and 5 Sub-Divisions (ESDs).

The Morigaon Electrical Circle serves a total consumer base of 2,17,153 consumers across various categories, reflecting a diverse mix of domestic, commercial, agricultural, and industrial connections.

Domestic Consumers
The largest share of consumers belongs to the domestic category, accounting for nearly 87% of the total consumers.
LT II Domestic A alone has 1,78,133 consumers, forming the backbone of the consumer base.
Other domestic sub-categories include LT I Jeevan Dhara (8,804 consumers) and LT III Domestic B (730 consumers).
Commercial Consumers
LT IV Commercial accounts for 13,523 consumers, representing small and medium commercial establishments in the circle.
General Purpose Connections
A combined 4,202 consumers fall under the General-Purpose category.
This includes LT V(A) General Purpose (Other) with 1,505 consumers and LT V(B) General Purpose (Education) with 2,697 consumers.
Agricultural Consumers
Agriculture plays a significant role with 10,049 consumers under LT VII Agriculture connections, supporting irrigation and farming activities.
Public Utilities
The Circle provides supply for essential public services such as:
