Patekibori or Patekibori is a place in Morigaon district of Assam where Sankaradeva is believed to have been born. Patekbari is located at a distance of 27 km from the district headquarters of Morigaon. Mahapurusha Sankaradeva was born in a village called Patekibari-Alipukhuri. Sankaradeva's ancestor Rajdhar left Routa and decided to settle there on the banks of a stream of the Brahmaputra, building a road around it and digging a pond. It is in the Guru Charit Katha.
